Every box that pays the full number on this page meets all three of these. Anything outside, we can still usually buy — the price just comes down.
Well-dated
Test strips: 9+ months from expiration for full price. CGM sensors: 7+ months. Less than that, prices vary and we double-check before quoting.

Box condition
What we mean by "mint condition."
Top-of-the-page numbers assume sealed, undamaged boxes. Smaller cosmetic damage usually still buys — at a deduction we tell you about before pickup. Some issues are a hard no.
- Sealed and unopened — original manufacturer seal intact.
- Clean exterior — no smell, no residue, no mystery stains.
- Box damage smaller than a quarter — bent corners, light scuffing, may be a deduction.
- Damage bigger than a quarter — generally a hard no.
- Pharmacy label still on the box — leave it. Peeling almost always damages the box. We remove and shred labels at the office.
Hard nos
Things we will not buy.
These are not negotiable. If you bring something on this list, we will tell you at the pickup and we will not take it. Saves us both a wasted trip if we sort it out on the photo first.
- Expired strips — 0% accept rate.
- Opened or broken-seal boxes — 0% accept rate.
- Any blood on the box — even a drop, even if dry. Hard no.
- Any moisture — water-damaged, wet, or stored damp.
- Damage bigger than a quarter — major rips, gouges, crushed boxes.
- Generic / store-brand strips — no.
- Bayer, Precision Xtra, Embrace — no.
- Lancets, ketone strips — not bought.

Before you text
The photo checklist.
You do not need fancy photos. Phone-camera, daylight, four angles is plenty. The clearer the photo, the closer the photo-quote is to the pickup price.
1. Front of the box
The face with the brand and product name. We need to confirm it is on our buy list before quoting.
2. Side with the expiration
Lot number and expiration date legible. Dating drives most of the price — blurry expiration is the biggest reason a quote slows down.
3. Box edges and corners
Show any dents, bends, or scuffs. We would rather know up front than at the pickup. Hidden damage is the only thing that changes the quote at the meet.
4. The whole pile in one shot
One overview shot showing how many boxes total. This helps us batch the quote in one reply instead of going back and forth.
